I have two spur thigh tortoises.They are called Nutty and Tommy.
There is a lot of bad information on keeping tortoises and many people do not keep them correctly.
I can recommend a very good site for any information on how to care for these wonderful creatures.

Tortoises should not be kept in vivariums as the humidity is very bad for them.
The should be kept in tortoise tables or a set up like mine which is an indoor rabbit cage with added heat lamp and uv light.
The forum has lots of information on which substrate they need and all their requirements.
They should be fed a diet of weeds which are sprinkled with limestone flour.
It is amazing how quickly you get to recognise and name the common weeds in yout garden.
My neighbours think I am barmy going round the hedgerows looking for weeds.
