I have loved llamas ever since seeing one at a farm when I was very very little.

When we moved to The Wonder we had space to keep them and my husband bought me two as our first wedding anniversary present.

Along came Mak and Kandy.

Three years later Kandy gave birth to a gorgeous baby boy followed by two more boys over the next three years. Unfortunately we could not keep the babies and so we sold them to very good homes all of which still keep in touch.

We purchased another female,Chiquita,to go with Kandy and Mak but sadly last year Kandy died so we now just have the two.

Chiquita is yet to bless us with a cria but we are hopeful that may change this year.

Llamas are surprisingly easy to look after.Even easier than the sheep.

They very rarely need shearing and their feet rarely need trimming.

They have a small amount of hay and mix in the winter but do not have anything except grass in the summer.

UPDATE

We have just purchased three new females .They are all around the same age and are hopefully going to be fantastic breeding girls when they are old enough.

They are all very pretty and at the moment are being halter trained.
