I love French Lop rabbits which are one of the giant breeds.
We now have 6 Frenchies who are great big balls of soppiness.
A couple of them are rescues and some were bought from breeders.
The boys are very cheeky and playful whereas the girls are just very docile and love cuddles.
They are really very nice rabbits which can also make very good house rabbits.
Ours live in specially built pens but if you were to keep them in a hutch it would have to be no smaller than 6ft.
My husband has alway been taken with British Giants so we purchased two from two different sources.
I don't find them as nice to look after and handle as the Frenchies.
One is an opal girl who is very big but quite temperamental.
The other is a black buck who sadly developed serious teeth problems and is due to have an operation to remove his front teeth.
Again I have used forums to read up on care and health issues for my rabbits and have added the link on my links page.
